Hello my wonderful community! I wanted to share a very important pillar in community gofundme for anyone that could make donations to help reach goal before January 23rd,2026. Mama Africa‘s Marketplace is truly a cultural and community hub that offers so much to our city. Me personally she has helped me so much going over and beyond during my homeless season with finding me housing resources, allowing me and Rumi (my dog) a safe space to create and (even sleep at times) so not to be in my tent in the cold! She even once helped me with receiving my first bed after losing all my belongings to a house fire. I and so many other youths, elders, programs, and much more have experienced grace help and support from Mama Africa‘s Marketplace. Now the building has a new buyer who is offering cash and the landlord is giving Mama Africa’s a chance to raise the money to counter offer. Please help keep this space open!
