On January 29th, I noticed a fellow 53rd artist in a grand opening photo with the mayor and decided to paint it that night in hopes of gifting to the artist Gary Lewis, owner of I Am Dad.

I posted and tagged him in the photo the following day and within a hour he invited me out to his shop. He later told me to buy a suit and said he would walk me up to the mayor that day to hand him the painting personally.

That with quite the story and nail biting. I dropped everything and did just that. Even used my moving money to get a suit.

Long story short, after meeting the mayor that night, which was beyond surreal, he invited me out to his office for him the sign it.

Gary framed the original pieces and I painted a bigger one and framed it as well. Now, as of Saturday, the mayor, along with art commissioner he appointed, are collectors of my work and my art will hang in his office.

Even cooler, I saw a piece in the mayor's office that was made by my mentor and great friend Raub Welch, a piece which survived the fire. So the entire moment was beyond surreal. Even signing an original piece!

In honor of these events, all pieces on cardboard and wood will rise in prices, with monthly payment plans available.
