From Tragedy, to Travesty, to Triumph
By Courtney Jolliff
Welcome to my new set of works, my "People who've lost it all or was houseless" collection, featuring a series of legends who had to overcome obstacles in their lives before they reached their destiny.
A fifty dollar donation gets you any 11"x14" artwork of your choosing. I recently lost all my life's work and belongings in a house fire on May 9, then I persevered and did the Black Boy Expo and a Community Art Show the following month, creating new works.
Then in July, I rented a U-Haul truck and did an art tour in Detroit and Chicago, giving my heart and soul. I lost over 100 pieces in May in the fire, and this summer, up until November, I sold and recreated over 100 pieces of art.
But sadly this November the U-Haul and all my art and belongings were stolen. (We are still in search of it and speaking with U-Haul equipment recovery and a report was made.)
To recover I'm selling new handmade crystal pieces at $20 and art commissions for $500 as well as the 11"x14" work for $50. Please consider helping and purchasing today! You can purchase at this Etsy page.
If you can't purchase, donations are welcomed at: cashapp $courtneytheeartist or venmo @marcel-jolliff.
I pray everyone shares and all who pray or help, blessings return to them times ten ancestors! Ashe #themarathoncontinues
