Asking For A Slow Yes Instead of A Fast No

Asking For A Slow Yes Instead of A Fast No

Peace and love! Hoping this spring is off to a good start for you! The Black Boy Expo Art Show in this May ! I’m currently seeking sponsorship support to participate in my third Black Boy Art Show Expo this year. My journey with the show has become deeply tied to resilience, rebuilding, and cultural impact. Before my first Black Boy Art Show, I lost my entire first body of artwork in a house fire. Instead of stopping, I rebuilt an entirely new collection in time for the exhibition, which led to recognition from the Hyde Park Herald

and growing attention around my work. After that momentum, I transformed a U-Haul into a mobile museum and brought art tours directly into communities across Chicago and Detroit until the vehicle — along with my second body of work — was stolen. Once again, I rebuilt. During my second Black Boy Art Show appearance, I created another new body of work that ultimately led to Mayor Brandon Johnson becoming a collector

after I personally presented him with a signed piece that now hangs in his office. While overcoming homelessness through much of this journey, I continued creating, and earlier this year I officially secured stable housing and hosted my first exhibition inside my own art studio. I’m now preparing for my third Black Boy Art Show participation and am seeking sponsorship assistance for vendor fees, transportation, installation, and presentation materials. I truly believe this next chapter can become a defining moment not only for my career, but for the communities and stories my work represents. It cost $400 to vend but the success is guaranteed! Any sponsorship of $200 or more comes with a free art commission! $400 sponsorship comes with ticket to attend and displayed name of sponsorship at event!
